About the factory
Still a factory. Still a craft.
Fabric Art opened on North Avenue in 1998 as a small cut-and-sew room. The building is larger now. The work is the same: make garments that hang correctly and last a season longer than they need to.

The floor
Pattern cutters, machinists, and finishers work in the same building as the sample room. That closeness is the point. When a seam allowance is wrong, the person who drafted it can walk twelve metres and see it on a body.
We produce wovens and light knits for private-label and designer programmes. We do not take every brief. Capacity is finite, and we would rather keep a date than fill a diary.
If you order samples from the factory before confirming a bulk order, the cost of each sample will be 8–10 times higher than the unit price of the bulk order. In all cases, the cost of sample production must be covered by you.

How we work
Honest capacity
We take work we can finish well. Dates on the board are dates we keep.
Craft at factory scale
Artisans stay on the same line long enough to know a garment by feel.
Quiet sustainability
Marker efficiency, leftover fabric programmes, and local mill partners first.
